The Whigs are excited to announce they'll be supporting the Kings Of Leon on their North American tour beginning January 20th in Louisville, KY. A highlight on the run will include a performance at the legendary Madison Square Garden in New York City on January 29th. Following three extensive tours at the end of 2008 with The Kooks, Kings Of Leon and Tokyo Police Club and a New Year's Eve show with Band Of Horses, The Whigs are thrilled to return to Georgia after the MSG date to begin writing their next album.

2008 marked a very rewarding year for the Athens, GA three-piece. The band released their highly anticipated and critically acclaimed ATO Records debut, MISSION CONTROL. They spent the entire year touring the world winning over fans with their fierce intensity and showed America how explosive their live shows are with raucous performances on The Late Show with David
Letterman, Late Night With Conan O'Brien and Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The Whigs will have a chance to develop their new material on the road this March with a handful of headlining dates. Tickets are currently on sale.
