San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle, get ready! Fresh off a run of Australian dates, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings will be back in the US for a quick West Coast tour, beginning January 23 and running through the end of the month. Opening for the Queen of Funk and her venerable rhythm section will be the rollicking NYC-based Bulgarian and Balkan folk music group Ivan Milev Band. Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings will also be playing what is turning out to be a yearly recurring Valentine’s Day show in New York, and will be at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on April 26.

The band was in the Midwest this past December, and here's what
some of the press had to say about it:
"Jones and her trusty Dap-Kings have few, if any peers, in their
genre at this time." - Culture Bully
"All around, this was one of the best shows to hit town all year"
- Decider Madison
"...The sizzling soul-funk-R&B-Motown hybrids were jubilant, celebratory and downright euphoric. The diverse crowd - which ranged in age from twentysomethings to baby boomers, of all ethnicities, some sporting fancy suits and dresses - followed every beat and rhythm...In fact, it was almost impossible not to sway and move to the music and marvel at Jones' powerful voice."
