Roseville, California math-rock trio Tera Melos hosts an odd party. Minimalism rubs palms with excess; jazz swings with hardcore; chaos emerges from order. The music seems to burst from the ethers and fall into perfect time. - Alarm Press Tera Melos may have been quiet these past few months while they were busy searching for a new drummer, but in typical TM fashion, they were just planning some more surprises.
In their so called "downtime,"
Nick Reinhart managed to write and record a full-length album for the new band he started with drummer extraordinaire
Zach Hill called
bygones. The album entitled
by- will see a March 2009 release on
Sargent House. Tera Melos also managed to find their new permanent drummer who goes by the name of
John Clardy. Keeping it light while breaking him in,
Tera Melos decided to have some fun and record some covers of an interesting batch of favorites, hence the EP
