2008 has been a massive year for Surrey’s OUTCRY COLLECTIVE. Endless press (Kerrang!, Big Cheese, Metal Hammer etc), Radio (an XFM live session, plays from Zane Lowe, Dan P Carter and Bruce Dickinson amongst many others and video plays ('New Franchise Mess' was playlisted on Kerrang TV) have seen the band grow massively since the release of their debut EP 'Pay Per View Love' in 2007.
This combined with nearly 100 shows in the year (with Fucked Up, The Plight and many more) has meant the band have established themselves as one of the biggest underground rock acts in the UK right now. At the end of 08 and early 09, the band are scheduled to take 2 months off self produce to record their debut album.
The band mix Hardcore, Metal, Rock and Pop to create heavy, yet ultimately catchy music, best demonstrated by the track ‘New Franchise Mess.’ Be sure to check the banging video for it on the band’s site below, filmed in the band’s rehearsal space which has now been converted into a recording studio, where the band will record. Free from producer and studio deadlines, the band will be free to record the album their way and fulfill their true potential.
Expect the debut album through Visible Noise in May 2009.OUTCRY COLLECTIVE head out on tour with BLACKHOLE 16th Feb – 4th March.
