RÖYKSOPP (Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland) play their first London date since 2005 when they headline the Royal Festival Hall on Saturday 11th April 2009.

This is RÖYKSOPPs first date in support of their brand new album, ‘Junior’, and forms part of this years Ether Festival. Ether is the Southbank Centre’s annual festival of music, art, technology and cross-arts experimentation, featuring technological innovators past and present with a strong emphasis on cutting-edge collaborations, visual culture and showcasing new work.

‘Junior’ follows their massive million selling debut ‘Melody A.M’ released 2001, the acclaimed 2005 ‘The Understanding’ and their hit singles ‘Eple’, ‘Poor Leno’, ‘Only This Moment’ and ‘Remind Me’ , which won Best Video at the MTV Europe Awards. As always the Bergen-based band have written, performed, arranged, mixed and produced ‘Junior’ themselves. The album features vocals from the band as well as some fantastic guests: Robyn (‘The Girl And The Robot’), Karin Dreijer-Andersson of The Knife (‘Tricky Tricky’, ‘This Must Be It’), Lykke Li ( Miss It So Much) and Anneli Drecker (‘Vision One’, ‘You Don’t Have A Clue’, ‘True To Life’)

The best seats in the house for the Royal Festival Hall show have been reserved for Royksopp.com members, sign up and head to the events section here: Röyksopp live dates and shows. Tickets are priced at £22.50 + £1.19 booking fee.
