Explosive Northern Irish 4 piece THE ANSWERare set to release a digital only single ‘On and On’ on February the 23rd, the first to be taken from sophomore album ‘Everyday Demons’, which is set for a March 2nd release date.
The band are currently wowing US fans as the opening act for the current North American leg of AC/DC’s ‘Black Ice World Tour’, and have just performed for The David Letterman show, reaching a TV audience well into the region of tens of millions. The AC/DC tour runs to the 31st January in the states, with UK and European dates following all across the early 09 (2 dates at the O2 in London April – all tbc).
Lead singer Cormac Neeson said “It is an honour and privilege for THE ANSWER to be offered the opportunity to support probably the greatest rock ‘n’ roll act on the planet. We are incredibly humbled.”
Following on from UK and European shows with the likes of The Rolling Stones, The Who and Aerosmith, the ‘Black Ice World’ Tour represents THE ANSWER’S debut tour of America, and AC/DC’s first outing since 2001.Coinciding with the tour, THE ANSWER have also released ‘Never too Late’, a 4-song EP and bonus DVD featuring the title track ‘Never Too Late’ a song that originally appeared on debut album ‘Rise’, and which will also be featured on Activision’s forthcoming release of the hotly anticipated game Guitar Hero®: World Tour (out now).
The band also have a one off headline album launch London date at Dingwalls on the 12th February, with headline dates and tours to follow throughout 09.
