Brooklyn noise-pop band the Vivian Girls have already sent out waves of panic and adoration to the outer limits of the underground pop contingent with a selection 0f 7" inches and their self titled debut album (released on In The Red late last year), they have become the newest breakout sirens of the New York loft-pop brigade and now, the band return to the UK for two shows in February one as headlinersat Proud Galleries and another as support to Black Lips at Islington Academy.

Within seconds of hearing their seductive three-part vocal harmonies lushly interwoven with chest-pounding waves of beautiful feedbackon their debut, it’s obvious that their songs are hard to resist, especially if you find yourself keen on the mid-’80s noise pop trifecta of The Jesus & Mary Chain, The Vaselines, and the Shop Assistants.

Swirling noise topped with sweetly angelic vocalsis a lush concoction, so expect your fruity neighbours and your attention-starved friends to chime in with unabashed praise when they hear this band!

UK DATES:
14-Feb London Proud Galleries
15-Feb London Islington Academy - NME Awards Show with Black Lips

“It’s unlikely you’ll find a more tasteful slice of fun on any record this year!” NME

“Best Start queuing now….” Time Out
