I can now announce the new CD will be called Trading Eights. We recorded 10 songs and singled out 6 of them to feature 6 of my favorite guitar players actually trading solos, and in many cases 8 bar phrases with me. The result is an inspiring mix of styles and musical energy. Robben Ford played on a blues, Joe Bonamassa on an up tempo instrumental, Albert Lee on a country style song and Steve Morse on a soulful ballad. Rick Vito turned in some beautiful slide playing and Scott Henderson tore up our version of George Harrison’s “Taxman.” All of their contributions are amazing and I am so honored to have them on the next CVBand recording. Walfredo Reyes, Jr. and Dave Marotta played bass and drums on this recording, and we feature Jim Cox on Hammond B-3 and piano. Please sign up for our mailing list if you’re not already on it.
