Jay Jay Pistolet is recording a new EP that will be released in May. The eagerly anticipated record will follow a successful 2008 which saw the release of his critically acclaimed debut EP ‘Happy Birthday You’ and share stages with the likes of Laura Marling, Johnny Flynn and even Katie Melua at her massive O2 concert.

Jay Jay will also be the main support on the forthcoming Noah and The Whale ‘Club Slienco’ tour. The string of dates in March will see Noah and the Whale hosting a unique evening of surreal film, music, illusions and projections complete with a compere.

The tour will include performances and screenings of David Lynch, Andy Kauffman, the Marx Brothers and Doug Sweetland all set in old fashioned style theatres. Jay Jay’s performance will follow the theme, and thus will be an unusual one, more along the stylings of classic 1940/50's artists.

‘Club Slienco’ tour dates:
5th March – UEA, Norwich
6th March – Shepherds Bush Empire, London
7th March – St Georges Church, Brighton
8th March – Academy 2, Manchester
10th March – The Sage, Gateshead
11th March – Queens Hall, Edinburgh
12th March – Metropolitan University, Leeds
13th March – Town Hall, Birmingham
15th March – Academy, Bristol
16th March – Trent University, Nottingham

Additionally, Jay Jay is confirmed to play a number of parties at this year’s SXSW including Chess Club, Q, KTRU Radio and The Great Escape.

More details of a headline tour to coincide with the release of his new EP and summer festivals dates are to be announced soon.
