Bleed Electric - New Song from Concept Album Released
 

Bleed Electric have finally just released a lo quality version of one of the tracks off their self titled debut concept album. The track first showcased is 'IV. Bird as High As Planes' which is track four on the album. The track is a first person perspective of a killer that has taken hostages and is fleeing from the cops. It showcases all the emotions that would be going through someone's head in that circumstance. He's already killed one person and by the look of his reaction to the cop chase he is going to be a cop killer before the night is through!

Bleed Electric will be showcasing one track at a time on their Myspace page over the coming months and each track showcased will also be available for download. The downloads are all lower quality so you can still buy the album when it's out. The self titled debut concept album is planned for not only the album to musically and lyrically follow the story but also each song from the album will be released as a single and each video will run into one another which will make a full silent movie at the end of it all.


There is A LOT of underground interest happening for Bleed Electric now so keep peeled to the studio happenings so that you can say that you were a Bleed Electric fan before anyone else even knew who they were.

I have now.

That song "Chunks of Your Own Soul" scared me a little - it's one angry mofo.....then it seems to turn into a song from The Mighty Boosh, which is hilarious.

Who writes the songs? Are they influenced by Liam Howlett by any chance? "Birds as High as Planes" has early Prodigy all over it.

There are some interesting ideas in there for sure, but that vocal style is not for me. That said, it's definitely for a lot of other people and I honestly think you guys have a big potential audience out there. I reckon if you guys promote yourselves right and get out there and tour it hard, you could have some real success. Good luck dude!

For it to appeal to me, you would have to drop the vocals/drum n bass and concentrate on your techno side. I really like techno from late 80's, early 90's, so the sounds I hear in your music that takes me back to those days (in my opinion when dance music reached its peak), appeals to me far greater than your singer's vocals/lyrics.

Don't tell him I said that though, I expect he may try to kill me.

Chunks of your own Soul is meant to scare you. It is a song that has a murder happen during it thanks to eh coaxing of the devil. Every song is a completely different genre and journey and there are moments that you will want in it.

I write all the music and Birds as High as Planes was written with the intention of nodding at Liam saying thanks for the influence so glad you notched on to that.

Also it is important to note that this is a concept album so it tells a story from start to finish. As such the lyrics and vocals change according to emotion. Another lap around the sun is a drug induced high. Chunks of your own soul is a fight that ends in an accidental killing and Birds as High as Planes is a Cop chase based on previous events.

It's important cause we aint's saying lets all go kill people and take drugs but we are depicting a greater story through lyrics and singing. The raps are mainly done by the other boys and the singing is mainly done by myself but we do merge and change with each song. I don't take offense though man and I appreciate your opinions, it matters to me to know what you think.

No problem dude, and it's funny that it's a concept album because it did strike me that those three songs could all be part of some bigger picture. There's definitely some clear storytelling going on within the songs.

The didn't realise there were different vocalists, I thought the rapper did them all. It's the raps that I don't like really, but then I struggle with British people rapping anyway. I dunno, it just always seems to sound better coming from an American mouth.

Keep going with those Howlett sounds man, they're ace.

I might go stick Experience on.

Yeah there are two different (sometimes 3 ;)) rappers on each song and I mainly do the singing stuff although that does switch on some songs.

I have an even more Prodigy-esque song on the album that we wrote the other day "Electropunk" and it does what it says on the tin. It is pure unadulterated Electro punk. Something in it for everyone! It's beat wise even earlier prodigy too like the "Fire" and "Charlie Says" era.
