LIVE NOEL GALLAGHER RECORDINGS FOR TEENAGE CANCER TRUST

LIVE NOEL GALLAGHER RECORDINGS FOR TEENAGE CANCER TRUST
Noel Gallagher today announced on Myspace the release ‘THE DREAMS WE HAVE AS CHILDREN’ (Live for Teenage Cancer Trust) - an exclusive collection of live performances from Noel’s standout performance at the Royal Albert Hall on 27 March in aid of the charity that helps young people fight cancer.

The exclusive collection of tracks, released in conjunction with The Sunday Times, The Times Newspaper and iTunes, will feature classic and rare songs from the Oasis canon along with several cover versions of some of Noel’s favourite artists. Songs by The Beatles and The Smiths are featured here along with a very special duet with Paul Weller performing The Jam’s ‘Butterfly Collector’.

From Tuesday 10th March, The Times will print a link in the paper each day (for five days) which takes readers to a specific landing page on iTunes where they can download a different song each day for free. Then on Sunday 15th March, The Sunday Times will be giving away an 11 track CD with the newspaper which, alongside the downloads, gives readers the full tracklisting for ‘The Dreams We Have As Children (Live for Teenage Cancer Trust)’. A donation has been made to Teenage Cancer Trust in respect of the use of these recordings. On 16th March the full album will be available to buy digitally from a selection of online retailers.

Oasis are long time supporters of Teenage Cancer Trust and are proud to continue their support. As well as Noel’s appearance with special guests in 2007, the band headlined the event in 2002. In addition Noel has made several guest appearances himself over the past decade.

Roger Daltrey CBE, Patron of Teenage Cancer Trust said: “Oasis have been incredible supporters of Teenage Cancer Trust over the years and this fantastic collection of tracks is testament to Noel’s passion and commitment. For the last nine years we have organised these concerts to raise as much money as possible to help young people fight cancer. It’s thanks to the support and talent of people like Noel that help make this possible.”

Teenage Cancer Trust has announced the full line up for this year’s Teenage Cancer Trust concerts at the Royal Albert Hall. An eclectic line up of artists will take over the Royal Albert hall for six nights between Tuesday 24 and Sunday 29 March 2009 to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust’s work providing specialist support for young people with cancer.
