St. Vincent 'Actor' - MP3 and London show announced

From today, 4AD is giving away a track from 'Actor', the new St. Vincent record out May 4th (5th in N. America). The song "The Strangers", which is the first track on the album starts off as a deceptively dulcet elegy for a lost love, then suddenly capsizes under a flood of distortion.

St. Vincent (aka Annie Clark) will be previewing songs from 'Actor' at South by Southwest this month. Annie has also confirmed she will play a show at the Hoxton Bar & Kitchen in London on 21st April, coinciding with the release of the single "Actor Out Of Work" (out 20th April).

Wednesday 18th March - Central Presbyterian Church, Austin (SXSW 4AD Showcase, 11pm)

Friday 20th/Saturday 21st March - Antone's, Austin (SXSW Billions Showcase, 12am)

Tuesday 21st April - Hoxton Bar & Kitchen, London (headline show)
