Friday 20th March @ Manchester's Academy 2
Humble Soul have teamed up with the brilliant TJ Events to bring you this very special event. TUNNG with TINARIWEN. Yes indeed, on the same stage at the same time! We are so excited by this show we're almost wishing away the next couple of weeks so it we won't have to wait so long!
So how did it happen? Well, it all follows on from their collaboration on BBC Radio 3's Late Junction
Nigel Adams at Tunng's label, Full Time Hobby, had this to say about the recent Maida Vale session:
Obviously, the session wasn't enough for them, and they hatched the idea of combining again for this extraordinary event. Seeing either of these two bands on their own is a pretty special live experience on its, but this promises to be one of those "I was there" shows that people will be talking about for years to come. Really. Don't miss this if you can help it.

Nigel Adams at Tunng's label, Full Time Hobby, had this to say about the recent Maida Vale session:
"I've just heard the Tunng and Tinariwen session they recorded for BBC R3 and it's as good as I'd hoped. They played three tracks: People Folk, Tamatant Tilay and Adoumia. It's such a fluid, hypnotic session, anyone who has even a fleeting interest in either band will be spellbound by it. "
There is a wonderful diary of the session from Tinariwen's manager here:
