WITH LONG-AWAITED ALBUM IN STORES TODAY; SEATTLE ROCK OUTFIT INTRODUCES FANS TO NEW SONGS
Fueled By Ramen recording group This Providence just released their eagerly anticipated new album, entitled “WHO ARE YOU NOW?” The album can be purchased via the Fueled By Ramen webstore, located at http://store.fueledbyramen.com, and is also available for digital streaming at http://purevolume.com/thisprovidence. The Seattle-based quartet’s follow-up to their 2006 self-titled Fueled By Ramen debut will herald the release of “WHO ARE YOU NOW?” with major U.S. tours alongside The Academy Is… & Copeland. The dates continue through late April (see attached itinerary).
Recorded with Matt Squire (Boys Like Girls, All Time Low) in Los Angeles, “WHO ARE YOU NOW?” showcases This Providence’s versatile approach towards modern rock, melding an electric edge with a sensitive, stripped-down sensibility.
"… A success, through and through… 'Sure as Hell' is one of the best introductory songs in recent memory," hails Absolute Punk. From dance-floor anthems like “That Girl’s A Trick” to pop-inflected rockers like “Letdown” and ambient acoustic explorations like “Chasing The Wind,” the album reveals a remarkable band energized and empowered by two years of nearly non-stop roadwork.
“WHO ARE YOU NOW?” follows This Providence’s most recent release, 2008’s “THE BRIGHT LIGHTS EP.” The band has proven a true grassroots phenom, drawing over 13 million streams on its MySpace page. What’s more, This Providence has built a fervent fanbase through an intense tour schedule that has seen them traveling alongside such like-minded bands as Ludo, Paramore, Cute Is What We Aim For, The Cab, The Hush Sound, Reliant K, Daphne Loves Derby, and All Time Low.
This Providence is: Daniel Young – vocals * Gavin Phillips – guitar * David Blaise – bass * Andy Horst – drums.
