This year’s annual major Love Music Hate Racism event was officially launched today at the Britannia Stadium, Stoke-on-Trent. The event will be held at the stadium on May 30th and will play host to an array of big name bands, top DJs and a host of local bands.
A main stage playing will be erected on the South Stand of the stadium featuring some of the U.K’s biggest live acts. Delilah’s Bar will play host to all the biggest dance acts around while ‘The Sugarmill Stage’ outside the stadium will showcase some of the best local bands, singers, rappers and DJs. The headlining acts are not being announced at this stage but previous headliners for LMHR events have included Babyshambles, Kasabian and Estelle.

holder for Enterprise and culture for Stoke-on-Trent City council said: “Their is nothing better then getting a group of people together to enjoy live music”
Sam Duckworth (lead singer of Get Cape.Wear Cape. Fly) was at the event to show his support for the cause he said : “ The one thing I love about Love Music Hate Racism is the simplicity of its message. It is just literally Love Music Hate Racism, nothing else “
Last years event in Victoria Park, East London drew 110,000 people, however as this years event is in a stadium the maximum capacity is 32,000 so anyone interested in going is being advised to book fast.
