Source celebrates Moog distribution deal
 

Another legendary VIP lunch at the world-famous Ivy Restaurant in central London was the setting for Source Distribution to celebrate its recent appointment as distribution partner to the iconic music brand Moog for the territories of UK and Ireland. Source Director of Distributed Brands Howard Jones also took the opportunity to announce details of another year of outstanding progress for Source to the assembled group of 40 key UK press and dealers.

During the lunch, President of Moog Mike Adams delivered a fascinating insight into the heritage, history and key product milestones of his company, and provided an in-depth look at new Moog products including the award-winning Moog Guitar, the Etherwave ‘Plus’ Theremin and the forthcoming re-issue of the legendary Taurus Bass Pedals.

Adams stressed that Moog continues to operate as a tribute to its innovative founder Bob Moog, and considers everyone involved in the distribution, retailing and playing of the legendary brand’s instruments as sharing in the continuation of Bob Moog’s legacy.

Delighted by the addition of Moog to its ever-expanding distribution portfolio, Jones outlined key Source achievements in 2008, including relocating to new premises in northwest London, recruiting three new members of staff, and increasing overall sales by more than 50%. This growth led to recent distributor awards from both Lynx and PreSonus, and resulted in the expansion of Source’s representation of Genelec products in the UK to include Custom Install products as well as the existing Professional Monitoring range that Source has successfully handled for the past year.

Levels of business at Source Distribution have continued to expand in the first few months of 2009, and have already triggered the appointment of Sheila Synnott to the position of Sales Administrator.

Commenting on the event, Jones says, “Despite the current economic climate Source had another exceptional year in 2008, and we’re very pleased to report continued growth and expansion including the addition of Moog products to our portfolio. The event at The Ivy was very much a ‘thank-you’ to our key retail partners and our friends in the press who have been an integral part of Source’s success.”
