Friday 1st May 2009
Marking their return to the concert stage, Fischerspooner celebrate the release of their third studio album ‘Entertainment’ (Lo Recordings), out 4th May, with the U.K. premiere of their new show at London’s Neon Noise Project on Friday 1st May.
Whilst currently rehearsing and finalizing details in New York, Spooner describes the show:
Fischerspooner’s live shows commingle elements from the worlds of art, fashion, theatre and music. Front man Casey Spooner leads the pack of performers on stage with him through an orchestrated dialogue between avant-garde technique, classical tradition, and pop frivolity. Costumes, choreography and stagecraft collide to create a surprising new musical performance that is both flamboyant and tough.
Supporting Fischerspooner, is a very rare set from Ed Banger Records legend
Sebastian, electro-rock duo Autokratz (LIVE) who release their highly anticipated debut album 'Animal', man of the moment and another exclusive LIVE performance – Yuksek and rounding off the main room is the superb Al Doyle from Hot Chip, plus in support, cool as f*ck residents JBag - Jerry Bouthier & Andrea Gorgerino (Kitsune & Ponystep). Don't Panic (Live Art & DJs) take over Room Two, which was custom made for discerning dance-heads - Harry James (Snap Crackle Pop), We’re Not Cool, Blaise Belville and Warboy (Gettin Dirty). Finally a unique combination of ecstasy disco, spaced-out italo and mutant pop-noir from hosts ‘Nuke Them All’.
Guests are: Buster Bennett, Fonteyn, Boy Cried Wolf and Alex Sedano LIVE
VJ Set.
NNP is set in The Coronet, a 1920's theatre in Elephant & Castle (SE1). Neon Noise Project has always sought to blur the distinctions between art, music and performance so this is a show not to be missed.

Whilst currently rehearsing and finalizing details in New York, Spooner describes the show:
“This is not like any show we have done before. The songs of the current album and other songs from our catalogue are set against a visual and sonic collage made from disparate literary and historical sources and theatrical traditions. It sounds strange and ridiculous but it all adds up. It becomes a very American story about ambition, experimentation, danger and the frontier. We wanted to create a show where it was impossible to decipher history or specific references. We are in a different place a decade later and this show reflects that.“
