CURRENTLY ON TOUR IN EUROPE WITH US DATES TO FOLLOW
Afternoon Records is proud to announce the debut LP from Twin-Cities duo, Now, Now Every Children, due out July 9th. This full length marks the third release from Cacie Dalager (Vocals, Guitar) and Brad Hale (Drums). It follows their acclaimed EPs Not One, But Two and In the City.
Dalager and Hale began the group in Blaine, Minnesota, where following high school marching band practice, the two would write songs together which eventually became basement demos posted on MySpace, cultivating a fanbase before they had even played a show. In 2007, they signed to Afternoon Records and since have caused quite a stir online, garnering attention from a veritable whose who of the blogging community. Sites such as Said The Gramophone, Large Hearted Boy, Muzzle of Bees, Music For Robots, Culture Bully, 3 Hive, and many others all weighed in with praise for their lo-fi creations.
"With only a guitar, a drum kit, and the occasional piano or organ the music of Minneapolis duo Now, Now Every Children may be sparse and minimalist, but there is no shortage of flare or gusto. Cacie Dalager and Brad Hale have mastered their craft to the extent that it becomes difficult to distinguish whether Hale's pulsing beats or Dalager's magnetic voice is the driving force behind their new album." says NPR's Second Stage show.
Cars, Now, Now Every Children's first full-length album, is a series of poignant moments written by Dalager and Hale. The record was recorded and produced by the duo along with Afternoon Records founder, Ian Anderson, in a small Minneapolis studio. Now, Now Every Children have toured extensively in the United States and Europe, and have shared the stage with Mates of State, the Rosebuds, Say Hi, Cloud Cult, and many other cool kid favorites.
