Just don't expect to see him on stage
Those of you who've caught Dan before expect bigger and better! The Bromst shows are a full wacked-out orchestra with Dan at the helm, conducting away whilst taking centre-crowd with the regular table-top set up.
See what we mean here;
Those that haven't seen Dan before prepare yourselves for an altogether new world of 'gigging'. We're talking audience participation to the max, pah! to pantomimes, this is a complete physical work out! And no room for standing on the sidelines. The new album "Bromst" is of course out now, and here's what you guys have been saying about it;
“Giddy songs of positivity to rival Wayne Coyne at his most rosy-eyed” UNCUT
“like a rollercoaster designed by Lewis Carroll… its juvenile spirit is uplifting whether expressed through playtime techno or garage rock organs…” TIME OUT
“a collision of high-BPM percussion and chanted melodies reminiscent of Brian Eno circa Taking Tiger Mountain and sonically evoking a high-density rush” INDEPENDENT
“layered harmonies vibrating like a feverish techno version of Panda Bear, morphing tinkling xylophone melodies and clippety-clop rhythms into a distorted techno stomp” Q
“exuberant toy-town techno that becomes a shot of pure musical adrenalin” OBSERVER MUSIC MONTHLY
“Dan Deacon is the great divider; he’s either a circuitboard genius, a cross between Tim Harrington and Timmy Mallett abusing pedals for the greatest electro one-man-band show on earth or a d**k, he’s probably both… a mix of Fridge frippery and F**k Buttons fuzz, there’s some genuinely sublime moments” NME
