 For Immediate Release HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL A NIGHT OF LIVE MUSIC BENEFITING EVA’S INITIATIVE FEATURING SEAN JONES WITH SPECIAL GUEST CHRISTOPHER CHARLES and Surprise celebrity guests Toronto, Ontario CANADA -- Homeless youth struggle to survive every day all across Canada especially in Ontario and the GTA. Singer Songwriter Sean Jones wants to do something about this crisis in his own backyard. Sean and his WIDEawake Entertainment Group team are producing a full production benefit concert Tuesday April 28, 2009 at the Great Hall in Toronto. “We are doing the concert on a Tuesday to make it easier for press and industry folks to come with the hopes that more people in the music industry and the press take on this serious issue of homeless youth in Ontario.” Eva's Initiatives works with homeless and at-risk youth ages 16 to 24 to get them off the streets permanently. They operate three shelters in the Greater Toronto Area (Eva’s Place, Eva’s Satellite and Eva’s Phoenix) that house 122 youth each night. Eva’s shelters provide homeless youth with emergency and transitional housing, harm reduction services to address drug and alcohol use, family counselling, employment training, housing support and mentorship. Each year they help over 2,300 homeless and at-risk youth in Toronto and thousands more through a national program aimed at strengthening youth-serving agencies across the country.. Singer songwriter Sean Jones had a chance to meet the youth and staff at Eva’s Phoenix and was so moved he decided to dive in to help as a Mentor. Fresh from wrapping up a successful Q1 tour supporting Divine Brown, expect the unexpected with area celebrities and even the debut of a new duet with Ms. Brown at the April 28th show This is a free all-ages event with opportunities to donate to Eva’s Initiatives at the door. The event will also feature light finger foods and a (cash) bar hosted by The Great Hall, raffles and gift package giveaways donated by WIDEawake Entertainment, Warner Music, Sula Fragrance.
