ULTERIOR, WHITE ROSE MOVEMENT AND ROMANCE ANNOUNCE UK TOUR ULTERIOR have been extremely busy over the past 12 months. Fresh from their European tour supporting The Sisters Of Mercy, the band have been recording their new single ‘Sister Speed / Aporia’, a 10" double A/digital release out on DiscError Records in July. The London 5 piece have fast outgrown every scene/fad tag they have been associated with over the past 2 years, fast becoming an exciting rock 'n' roll band with the staying power to establish themselves as one of the best new acts coming out of the UK. In the last year, ULTERIOR have shared stages with the likes of (the aforementioned) The Sisters Of Mercy and A.R.E. Weapons, The Horrors, These New Puritans, Black Strobe and Sonic Boom of the legendary Spacemen 3. The band have also grown a large European fanbase, (playing riotous shows across Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Germany, Poland and Scandanavia), to add to their already burgeoning UK support from amazing shows at The Astoria, Koko and Scala. Too heavy for chi-chi electro clubs, too intense for lolloping indie hipsters, too much pouting rock 'n' roll and good looks for the noise geeks to stomach - ULTERIOR are quickly carving out their own cut of the UK music scene. The band describe themselves simply as “electronic rock and roll”, with many journalists citing such references as Big Black, The Sisters, The Manics and Suicide in ULTERIOR's sound. The band have also gained a certain rep among celebs in the know; Kate Moss, Bobby Gillespie, Douglas Hart (Jesus and The Mary Chain), Jade Jagger and Peaches Geldof have all been spotted at their London shows. White Rose Movement- After releasing their debut album ‘Kick’ and its defining single ‘Love Is A Number’ (hailed by the NME as one of the tracks of the year) WRM return with new material and a more mature and assured sound, drawing on influences from Generation X and Depeche Mode to ‘emotional rescue’ era Rolling Stones. With the band mainly growing up together on a Norfolk ex-hippy commune, Finn Vine (Vocals), Jasper Milton (Guitar) Owen Dyke (Bass) and Ed Harper (Drums), the addition of french speaking Poppy Corby-Teuch (Keys) is the final unifying link to the WRM sound. Having toured Europe, the US and Russia, including headlining a 33,000 festival in Ukraine, playing South X South West and Coachella, White Rose Movement unique sound earned them support slots with Bloc Party, The Strokes, Soulwax, The Kills and Nine Inch Nails. After being holed up recording new material WRM are now ready to showcase their new material live across the UK including the forthcoming LTD edition single ‘S*A*T*W*R’, the pneumatic ‘Cigarette Machine’ and the calmative drone ladended ‘Candle Flame’.
