ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN ANNOUNCE ‘OCEAN RAIN’ LIMITED EDITION BOX SET, NEW DATES

ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN ANNOUNCE ‘OCEAN RAIN’ LIMITED EDITION BOX SET, NEW DATES
Echo & The Bunnymen have announced the release of a deluxe limited edition box set of ‘Ocean Rain’. The CD will contain the live performance of this seminal album recorded at the Liverpool Arena last November. This will be accompanied by a DVD featuring visuals of the iconic band images projected at the show and a twenty minute behind the scenes documentary, including unseen footage of rehearsals for the show, alongside Mac and Will’s reminiscences and recollections. There will also be an eight page booklet that includes exclusive photos of the show taken by the official tour photographer.

All copies will be signed by Mac and Will, and the first thousand ordered will be inscribed to the individual fan or name of their choice.

The box set is available to pre-order now at £32.50 including postage & packaging and all orders will be dispatched by 30th May.

And in a fitting tribute, the NASA astronaut Colonel Timothy Kopra will be taking a copy of ‘Ocean Rain’, his favourite album, up to the international space station - he is due to launch on the space shuttle on 13th June.

The band will also headline the John Peel Stage at Glastonbury on the 28th June where they will perform the 'Ocean Rain' album from start to finish. Many of the songs on that album were written for a John Peel radio session so this will be a particularly special and poignant show. Echo & The Bunnymen will also perform at this year’s Hop festival and the Electric Picnic and have also announced two dates in Liverpool in December. Details below:

28th June - Glastonbury - John Peel Stage
4th July - Hop Farm
4th Sept. - Electric Picnic
18th Dec. - Liverpool 02 Academy
19th Dec. Liverpool 02 Academy

September sees the release of a new studio album ‘The Fountain’, their strongest in years and one which should further cement their status as one the UK’s truly great and inspiring bands.
