They may be bite-size, but they sure are tasty!

Gang Gang Dance to support Animal Collective at Brixton Academy show!

ATP Concerts are very proud to present the biggest London show to date from the sensational Animal Collective. Years of hard work on their part have led to huge critical acclaim for their most recent LP Merriweather Post Pavilion, and their live shows have been gaining them similarly laudatory notices for a long time. We are now happy to confirm that acclaimed Warp Records’ artists Gang Gang Dance will perform a supporting slot on the night.
Two other A.C. London headline dates this year at Koko and The Forum both sold out in advance and this date, at Brixton Academy on Thursday 20th August is expected to do the same.

This is sure to be one of the most essential events of the summer!

Tickets are on sale now from the following sources and are going fast:

SHUTA HASUNUMA to release POP OOGA PLUS on Western Vinyl, 6/09/2009

On Pop Ooga, Shuta Hasunuma lets loose an endless array of gorgeous and restless rhythms and melodies. Throughout the album he seamlessly folds funky bass and synth lines, graceful guitar, and breathy vocal harmonies into his web of glitch-pop-concrete. The result is intellectually engaging and fervent music, that reminds us of our urgent need to celebrate our time together. Like the album's artwork, the music evokes its own unique design - neatly cut acoustic edges within a new, visceral, time-lapsed version of reality. It's on the LP's bonus track "Go Pacific" that Hasunuma's impeccable balance between the technological and deeply personal resonates longest. Literally blending bells and whistles into an infectious, breezy dose of melodic sunshine, expect to be caught in an addictive, vinyl trance that will have you eagerly resetting your stylus again and again.
PRESS
“Hasunuma has created an unbelievably warm and organic-sounding digital collage of dreamy glitch-pop”
– Gorilla vs. Bear

“The glitchy electronic textures and expressive piano work invoke imagined memories of a dreamlike world”
– NPR

“Glitch music of the highest order...Hasunuma is one of the better players in the field”
– Earlabs
