Bands from rural areas have always thrown about the saying “There was nothing to do where we are from, so we started this band”. This has been heard a thousand times before but Deaf Havana guarantees not one of those bands has experienced life in Norfolk. For the kids growing up there, the vast flat lands of the East coast do not provide much hope or inspiration.
Meeting in early 2006 as 5 teenagers who wanted to experience more from their lives than their surroundings could offer, Deaf Havana started making music that has since taken them all over the UK and into Europe.
After a few self released EPs and some rather large support bills (Deftones, Enter Shikari, Flood Of Red, You Me At Six, We Are The Ocean) Deaf Havana decided that their music could be so much more exciting and energetic. So they sat down and wrote “It’s Called The Easy Life”. Six songs full of heart and pure energy. Recorded with Jonny Renshaw from Devil Sold His Soul, and Mixed & Mastered by Matty O’Grady (Architects, You Me At Six) the record was released on October 06th 2008 through A Wolf At Your Door Records and received critical acclaim from the national music press.
The band is currently in the studio recording their full length debut album scheduled for release in September 2009 through A Wolf At Your Door Records.
