Assembly Of Dust Featured in USA Today, on AOL Spinner
This week, alt-country rockers Assembly of Dust continued their weekly giveaway of tracks from forthcoming LP Some Assembly Required, out July 21st on Missing Piece/Rock Ridge Music, with a huge splash. The newest freebie, “Arc of the Sun,” not only boasts a guest appearance by Mike Gordon from Phish, but is also USA Today’s Pick Of The Week! And as if that wasn’t enough, the track is currently featured on AOL Spinner, with a great article that includes quotes from AoD frontman Reid Genauer about the experience of working with such a legend.

Critical kudos have been bestowed upon Genauer and the band, ranging from the New York Times to the Village Voice, who have hailed him as "an articulate songwriter with a sturdy, well-crafted song cycle of an album as proof," and a delivery that "fleshes out the tunes like a good movie can elucidate a short story." Assembly of Dust also has a large and rabid following, regularly selling out NYC’s Bowery Ballroom, Boston’s Paradise and San Francisco’s Independent, as well as performing at major festivals like Bonnaroo.

Each of Assembly of Dust’s songs are realized with an ace band -- Genauer on vocals and rhythm guitar, lead guitarist Adam Terrell, bassist John Leccese and drummer Andy Herrick -- and on Some Assembly Required, the band is joined by a diverse collection of collaborators (including Bela Fleck, David Grisman, John Scofield, Mike Gordon, Richie Havens, and Martin Sexton), prompting many to call this AoD’s most sophisticated and impressive work to date.

Download and Share new free songs from the album every Tuesday through July 14th.
