NOW, NOW EVERY CHILDREN ANNOUNCE SUMMER DATES Now, Now Every Children are excited to be hitting the road in conjunction with the July 9th wide release of their debut LP Cars. Following a couple of successful June dates in Chicago with The Lemonheads, the Minneapolis band kicks off a string of shows in July and August, hitting cities in the West, Mid-West, South, and North East as they make their way around the country. Over the past few months as they've geared up for the release of Cars, Now, Now Every Children have been steadily gaining praise for their unique brand of lo-fi indie pop. Named a Spin.com "Must-Hear Band" at this year's Bamboozle, they lived up to the recognition and impressed crowds at the festival, proving to be "elevating in the bleak afternoon haze." Meanwhile The Fader, NPR, Yahoo Music, and Chromewaves have all featured the group and their excellent single "Everyone You Know." Cacie Dalager (Vocals, Guitar) and Brad Hale (Drums) began Now, Now Every Children in Blaine, Minnesota, where following high school marching band practice, the two would write songs together which eventually became basement demos posted on MySpace, cultivating a fanbase before they had even played a show. Since that time they have released a pair of EPs and played shows across the United States and Europe. Cars is Now, Now Every Children's first full-length album. It is a series of poignant moments written by Dalager and Hale. The record was recorded and produced by the duo along with Afternoon Records founder, Ian Anderson, in a small Minneapolis studio. myspace.com/nownoweverychildren afternoonrecords.com Tour Dates Below: JULY 2009 09 - Sioux Falls, SD - Nutty's North 10 - Colorado Springs, CO - The Loft 11 - Denver, CO - Larimer Lounge 12 - Lawrence, KS - Jackpot Saloon 13 - Norman, OK - The Opolis 13 - Norman, OK - The Opolis 15 - Austin, TX - Emo's Alternative Loung (Indoor) 17 - Little Rock, AR - Vino's 18 - St. Louis, MO - Firebird 19 - Dekalb, IL - The House Café 20 - Milwaukee, WI - Stonefly Brewery AUGUST 2009 01 - Pontiac, MI - The Crofoot 02 - Toronto, ON - El Mocambo Club 04 - Danbury, CT - Heirloom Arts Theatre 05 - Philadelphia, PA - North Star Bar 06 - New York, NY - The Mercury Lounge 07 - Pittsburgh, PA - Garfield Artworks 08 - Newport, KY - Southgate House 09 - Iowa City, IA - Picador |

You like? Haven't had chance to check them out properly yet. You can always move to the states! |
Re: NOW, NOW EVERY CHILDREN ANNOUNCE SUMMER DATES Well they do generally have the best music in USA/Canada, so maybe I should. Yeah I have been waiting to get hold of something by these guys/check them out live, ever since I checked them out after someone posted some news about them (probably you) earlier this year. |

I can't imagine the american music scene being my cup of tea. Have you been over before mike? |
Re: NOW, NOW EVERY CHILDREN ANNOUNCE SUMMER DATES What? The American music scene is way better than over here even if you are a typical brit and love your indie music. New York City and Brooklyn produce bands like no other place on earth. |

Re: NOW, NOW EVERY CHILDREN ANNOUNCE SUMMER DATES When the hell are you moving there? Can I come too please? Brooklyn is insane at the moment - I am planning a big feature on the Brooklyn music scene. |
Re: NOW, NOW EVERY CHILDREN ANNOUNCE SUMMER DATES End of this year, beginning of next. Hopefully the end of this year. Can't wait. |
