Having scored a stellar 4 star live review in The Times,
Ben’s Brother are back with hook-laden new single
‘Questions and Answers’ on
Monday 3rd August following a triumphant few months.
‘Questions and Answers’ is the first single by
Ben’s Brother taken from their new album
‘BATTLING GIANTS’ to be released through their new record label, the legendary
Island Records.
Building on the remarkable success of their debut album ‘
Beta Male Fairytales’, where they achieved
Radio 2 A List on all singles, impressive first single
‘Apologise’ was the perfect re-introduction to
Ben’s Brother’s.
‘Apologise’ was co-written with Grammy nominated
Natalie Imbruglia and A-Listed on Radio 2. And just four weeks before the UK release of
‘Apologise’, on Jamie's own label Flat Cap Records,
Island Records were so impressed with their album ‘
BATTLING GIANTS’, they stepped in to take the record to an international audience.
The band signed a world-wide joint-venture deal and Island Records; itself celebrates its 50th birthday this year after a lifespan that has introduced the world to the undisputed talents of the likes of
Bob Marley, U2 and
Amy Winehouse. Now
Ben’s Brother join these legends to form part of Island Record’s history.
Powerful, melody laden, vibrant and boasting immaculate lyrics, ‘Questions and Answers’ is the perfect single to launch the next chapter of Ben’s Brother’s story. ‘Questions and Answers’ highlights Ivor Novello nominated Jamie Hartman’s undeniable talent for writing the catchiest songs. Further evident by the host of impressive guest artists on their new album
‘BATTLING GIANTS’ -
Joss Stone (on ‘Stalemate’) and
Jason Mraz (on ‘Battling Giants’).
Ben’s Brother have also been invited on tour support with
David Gray and
Leonard Cohen, before playing at the
V Festival at the end of August.
Jamie Hartman
says about ‘Questions and Answers’,
“This is the song for every musician who's ever stayed in a hundred different shitty hotel rooms and felt lonely despite doing what they love the most. Music is a cruel mistress but no-one chooses to be a musician anyway - either you are or you're not.”
