Beginning tomorrow, Denver's
Esprit De Corps will hit the road for a short 11-day tour of (mostly) the East Coast. The five piece is playing shows in support of their newest EP,
Under Constant Influence. An entirely DIY, self-released affair, the album was recorded locally at the famed
8 Houses Down (Teenage Bottlerocket, Discount, Ninja Gun, Planes Mistaken For Stars) and was then hand screen printed on chipboard by the band. It will be available from The EDC at shows, but you can also pick a copy up
here.
Beside holding the unique distinction of being the first band I've ever worked with that features a keytar player, Esprit De Corps cranks out an urgent, propulsive and visceral, yet decidedly melodic brand of punk rock.
Under Constant Influence falls somewhere between Song Of Zarathustra's kinetic, driving attack, the swirling layers of These Arms Are Snake's aggressive post-punk stylings and the anguished, raw delivery of hometown brethren Planes Mistaken For Stars.
