TENET – “Sovereign” debut album out now in Europe; new promo track online
TENET, the brainchild of guitarist Jed Simon (Strapping Young Lad / Zimmer’s Hole), are pleased to announce that the “Sovereign” debut album is out NOW in Europe via Century Media Records. The intense new promo track “Crown Of Thorns” has been now launched via the band’s official myspace profile at: www.myspace.com/tenetforce
Guitarist and TENET mastermind Jed Simon comments the release of “Sovereign” as follows:
“Hey all you head-banging maniacs out there! The long, long, LONG wait is over! FUCK YES! FINALLY! I thought at times, as many of you did too I’m sure, that this was never going to see the light of day. It’s been a long road, and I’m stoked that so many of you have stayed by my side, waiting patiently. YOU RULE. So without any further bullshit, I give you “Sovereign”. This ain’t about punching people in the face, we’ve all done that...this is for pure head-banging, the pure love of metal. Remember that? Fuck yeah you do, and if you don’t...then it’s time to fuckin’ learn. Welcome to the NEW old school. Now put on your thrash hats and let’s see those heads shaking!
I’ve been balls deep in doing interviews the last few weeks and so far the response has been tremendous. That means a lot to me: everybody, thank you. With an album that has been talked about for so long, I have been nervous about the response. The initial reviews I have been reading are great, and it has really helped to validate all these years of work, and obsession, that has driven this beast. Finally the beast is free, and that freedom is an awesome thing. I gotta say, I feel like a skin has been shed...and it’s all good.
Right now we are working on getting this thing into touring mode. It’s going to take some work, I won’t lie, but when we get to your town...get ready to burn! No shuffling around the stage looking at our shoes, no ‘jump up’ in the air like a fuckin’ pogo goof, no sissies, no whining, no gimmicks, no keyboards. You’ll get A SHOW. A beer-soaked, raging good time. You’ll get what you pay for, and you deserve it. Until then my friends, welcome to the family!“
TENET line-up on “Sovereign”:
Jed Simon – Guitars (Strapping Young Lad, Zimmer’s Hole)
Steve “Zetro” Souza – Vocals (Exodus, Legacy)
Glen Alvelais – Lead Guitars (Forbidden, Testament)
Byron Stroud – Bass (Fear Factory, Strapping Young Lad)
Gene Hoglan – Drums (Dark Angel, Death, Strapping Young Lad)

IWRESTLEDABEARONCE – new album out in August / on tour in Europe
Completed in producer-extraordinaire Ross Robinson's (Slipknot, The Cure, At The Drive In) studio with engineer/producer Ryan Boesch (Eels, Foo Fighters) at the helm, IWABO's new album will take their complex sound to a new level.
Steven Bradley (guitars) comments:
"We couldn't be happier with how the album turned out! Ryan Boesch somehow understood every idea we had and captured them all perfectly. We went out of our way to expand our sound in every way possible, and this album is definitely more extreme in every direction than our previous EP. Also, we wanted to steer clear of an over-produced and lifeless sounding record, and I believe we've found a balance between all the electronics we use and a raw un-edited sound."
Additionally, the band is getting ready to destroy European stages on the Never Say Die! Club Tour 2009
