Italy’s coolest label, Hell Yeah Recordings, kick start the summer club season with a spanking new compilation series featuring 2009’s techno icon, all time Hell Yeah favourite and techno royalty, Umek.

A masterpiece in techno artistry, this 2-CD compilation features the best in the business from hotly tipped fresh club bangers to the brilliant, tried and tested productions from the man himself. This is the definitive guide to what’s bubbling in the genre and it certainly packs a mighty punch.

The first CD is a comprehensive document on current state of techno and it’s a testament to the techno legend’s intelligent mixing skills and productions.

Umek’s penchant for a killer tune is evident here, having trawled through the techno landscape for the most discerning, up front tracks delivered right to your stereo. The Slovenian master has painstakingly handpicked the finest and freshest artists set to make waves this year.

We get a chance to witness first hand why these guys rock, from Fergie, Oliver Koletzki, Koen Groeneveld, Spektre, Dyno, Piatto, Dandi & Ugo, Olivier Giacomotto and Tomy Declerque just to name a few. Peppered with a few of Umek’s own choice productions and remixes, he blends this concoction into the techno mix of the summer.

CD number two contains 12 exclusive unreleased Umek electronic workouts recorded between 1998 and 2005, straight out of his Hidden Folder and is available on this release only and not digitally. An excellent retrospective for the clued up techno fan to discover the roots of a real techno authority.

There is Umek’s varied and astonishing productions, from early electro to warped little melodies to the bangin funky techno grooves he has been renowned for at the beginning of his career.

This limited specially packaged double CD bonanza has been designed by Hell Yeah’s very own Neverending (www.boghe.net <http://www.boghe.net> ) playing with his unique vision of Umek’s techno imagination. HELL YEAH!!!!
