Portland's darkly mesmerizing chanteuse Shelley Short will be embarking on a tour spanning a month and change, hitting some of America's "fly-over country", spots frequented by the likes of Butch Cassidy, John Wesley Powell, and the eerily moving twilight of the setting sun. She will be joined in her travels by Alexis Gideon, who will be playing electric guitar with Shelley, as well as performing a set of his own.
Shelley Short has been a busy and inspired woman since releasing her shimmering debut, Captain Wild Horse (Rides The Heart Of Tomorrow), in 2006. She's has been on the road opening for M. Ward, Loudon Wainright III and more.
In addition to contributing vocals to albums by Tom Brosseau, Norfolk & Western and Thao and the Get Down Stay Down, to name a few, she's been part of the Tom Brosseau touring band.
Shelley now sets out in support of her own record, the bewitching A Cave, A Canoo, out 10/13 on Hush Records.
