It's been three years since Wolfmother hit the UK, initially filling out London's 150 cap Notting Hill Arts club and within a year selling out Brixton Academy and Hammersmith Apollo two times over. Winning a grammy, 5 aria awards, going 5 times platinum in Australia, gold in the UK and the US. Wolfmother's ascent was significantly radical. The band sold 1.3m records worldwide and travelled the world 5 times over. People far and wide fell in love with their thundering psychedelic rock and for a new band, they moved a nation in an overwhelming speed.
Skip to 2009 - Wolfmother are back with a new line up. The (now four) young howling mavericks from Brisbane have come together to create giant riffs and primordial thundering drums. They return to the hearts and heads of one and all this August, for a very special, extremely intimate one off show at London's Lexington.
The band come fresh off a plane from Los Angeles, beholding a weighty behemoth of a 2nd record, Cosmic Egg, in their palms, and more ready than ever to tear open the minds of the masses and let their newfound magic and melody medicine swim within.
Wolfmother will take over The Lexington in Kings Cross to reveal the contents of their new wonderbeast, showcasing a mostly new suite of material, with a healthy handful of their marvelous self-titled debut thrown in.
