Fresh off of a sold-out run of New York dates, Cass McCombs and his new Catacombs band are heading west. Beginning in Los Angeles opening for The National, next heading to the Pacific Northwest with Band of Horses, then headlining in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and finally returning to Los Angeles, the boys and girls will perform tunes from their new record, CATACOMBS, on which McCombs proves again to be one of his generation's most unique songwriters. Pitchfork Media counted CATACOMBS among the best new music of late. McCombs has been attracting the attention of the press and steadily garnering rave reviews; he's been compared to Bob Dylan and Paul McCartney, and lauded by the New York Times, Philadelphia Weekly and others. Filter Magazine noted Cass' "gift for arresting, ambiguous and heartfelt lyrics." "Dreams-Come-True-Girl" has recently been featured as an NPR Song of the Day.

Currently living nomadically, McCombs put this band together in New York City; the band includes former members of White Magic and Simon Dawes. Past members of McCombs' band have been in: The Howling Hex, Gang Gang Dance, Foreign Born, The Papercuts, Darker My Love, Ariel Pink, Arboretum and many others. Wear denim.
