Universal Warning Records and MVD Audio are pleased to announce the release ofthe classic Wisdom in Chains self-titled album for worldwide distribution on Vinyl and CD on August 11, 2009.
The vintage sounds of hard-nosed punk and Oi! have been steadily championed by Wisdom in Chains - ever since their modern day classic self-titled debut. Originally issued in 2003, the album lay the groundwork for the subsequent albums, which have seen the group - which is comprised of Mad Joe Black (vocals), Richie Krutch (guitars, back vocals), Tony Meltdown (guitars, back vocals), Greg Larsen (bass, back vocals), and Shannon Sparky (drums) - become one of the U.S.' most buzzworthy underground bands.
The only problem was that the album has been long out of print...until now. Wisdom in Chains has been newly remastered and will now - finally - be reissued on August 11th on both CD and on vinyl. And the best part is that the vinyl edition will include a ferocious live set recorded in Spring 2009 on side b - featuring all the bands most requested tracks. But act fast, as the vinyl edition is only being manufactured as a very limited 500 pressing run that is hand numbered and hand stamped. And if you choose to go the way of the CD, you'll find another tasty little gift - special story-like liner notes detailing Wisdom In Chains' birth, written by Richie Krutch.
