Manchesters’ Everything Everything return with their third offering of genre-busting, cerebral pop music for 2009.
Following on from ‘Photoshop Handsome ‘ on Another Music = Another kitchen, ‘My Keys, Your Boyfriend’ will be released by another trend-spotting label Young & Lost Club in October.
‘Photoshop Handsome’ caused quite a stir in all the right places, resulting in support from Radio 1 via Zane Lowe, 6 Music & XFM, while their homemade video for the single made it to the top on the MTV Two Myspace chart.
Backed by the gloriously expansive ‘NASA Is On Your Side’ on the flip, ‘My Keys, Your Boyfriend’ perfectly illustrates Jonathan & Co’s knack at penning an almighty tune that not only lifts the spirits but challenges the listener at every turn – it shouldn’t work but it does.
The track will be available on 500 limited 7”s plus download including a special Delphic re-work as part of a remix swap for each band’s new single. An excluisve free download will be available prior to release via the Young and Lost Digital Club, further info to follow.
As well as being added to the Reading & Leeds bill this month, Everything Everything are taking their eclectic leftfield pop around the country on tour this autumn.
