Highlighted as one of the main bands in the increasingly prominent Californian lo-fi ‘scene’ by Uncut and Rolling Stone magazines, San Diego’s The Crocodiles’ - Charles Rowell and Brandon Welchez – draw from significant influences from the UK post-punk scene of the ‘80’s ala Jesus and Mary Chain and Suicide, to name but two. This, combined with feelings of alienation and despair, the band have crafted their version of crushingly spaced-out rock n roll noise.
Fuck disco pop this is loud, twisted and buzzing; guitars, synth grooves, howling feedback and hazy vocals.
THE dark sound of the Californian sun….
