After announcing their return with a very special intimate at The Lexington on August 12th, tickets for the one off Wolfmother show were snapped up immediately and sold out within minutes. For those who missed out on tickets to witness Wolfmother’s unveiling of 2nd record, Cosmic Egg, at The Lexington, the band have announced a special London show at The Coronet, on October 21st.

The show will celebrate the release of their second album ‘Cosmic Egg’ on October 12th. It’s been three years since Wolfmother hit the UK, initially filling out London’s 150 cap Notting Hill Arts club and within a year selling out Brixton Academy and Hammersmith Apollo two times over. Winning a Grammy, 5 aria awards, going 5 times platinum in Australia, gold in the UK and the US. Wolfmother’s ascent was significantly radical. The band sold 1.3m records worldwide and travelled the world 5 times over. People far and wide fell in love with their thundering psychedelic rock and for a new band, they moved a nation in an overwhelming speed.
Skip to 2009 - Wolfmother are back with a new line up. The (now four) young howling mavericks from Brisbane have come together to create giant riffs and primordial thundering drums.
The seeds for Cosmic Egg were sown when the touring cycle for the debut record came to a close, and frontman and guitarist Andrew Stockdale sat down to start from scratch at his home studio in Brisbane. Following an extensive gestation period and the enlisting of three new band members, Stockdale and his new counterparts along with with producer Alan Moulder, rode ashore in picturesque hippy mecca Byron Bay, Australia to begin pre-production.
Moulder brought a giant hessian sack of worldly producer experience to the table having previously worked with the likes of My Bloody Valentine, The Smashing Pumpkins, Ride and Nine Inch Nails.
