IRISH songstress Wallis Bird is very pleased to announce details of a mini ‘tour’ of London shoe boutiques to help celebrate the release of her new album.
Wallis unleashes sophomore record ‘New Boots’ on September 7 and will perform two free acoustic in-store performances on the very same day to mark the occasion.
She says: “It should be plenty of fun to play in front of the shoe shoppers! As far as boot links go, I admit it’s tenuous. But putting puns aside, I love the idea of doing something unusual and connecting with a whole group of people who might not normally come to live shows.”
Wallis will be performing a handful of songs from the new album, the follow-up to 2007’s ‘Spoons’, and both performances are free entry.
The ‘New Bootique’ Tour, September 7:
1:30pm @ Laura J London, 114 Islington High Street, London, N1
5:00pm @ Poste Mistress, 61-63 Monmouth Street, London, WC2H

Wallis releases ‘New Boots’ through Rubyworks on September 7. It is preceded by new single ‘To My Bones’ on August 31.
She headlines The Underbelly (Hoxton Sq, London) on September 8.
