Following the cancellation of Brody Daille’s Spinnerette from the Jersey Live line up, Manchester electro-rock four-piece The Whip have stepped in as a late replacement. Having released several singles through super-cool French label Kitsune, they released their debut LP ‘X Marks Destination’ on Southern Fried Records in March of 2008. Mixing disco, rave and punk influences, they’ve been compared to the likes of New Order, Daft Punk and Kraftwerk, and their Jersey Live appearance continues a busy year of gigging which has seen them tour with Late of the Pier in the US, as well as performing at festivals in Germany, Finland, Austria, Turkey, Latvia and the UK.
