SCHELMISH have been forced to postpone their UK in September due to serious ligament problems suffered by lead piper Dextro resulting in an upcoming operation that will force them off the road for a few months.
Fear not though as dates will be re-scheduled for early next year.
A statement from the band reads:
The German octet who have built a massive following on the Continent with their insane live show that meshes Punk, Metal, Rock, and Electro to their bagpipe power as well as releasing a string of eclectic albums stretching back almost a decade.
The latest of which is ‘DIE HASSLICHEN KINDER’ which is released on November 2, 2009 in the UK on Napalm Records.

‘Hi friends, the latest news are not the best ones:
Sadly we must tell you that we had to cancel the UK-Tour, which was planned from the 17th - 26th, September 2009.
Dextro and DesDemonia were taken to Bonn hospital this morning suffering from acute knee joint problems. It seems that the joints of their knees have now "cried enough" and following treatment and X-rays told them to slow down and not to do as if there is nothing.
This effectively includes the forthcoming UK Tour! The Tour WILL be re-scheduled most probably for early next year, after we have spoken with the Venues and Promoters”.
