On September 18 2009, Blurred Vision perform a free concert in Toronto's Mel Lastman Square to support the movement for freedom in Iran. The timing is aligned with events in the free world to draw attention to the upcoming arrival of self proclaimed Iranian leader M. Ahmadinejad at the United Nations in New York on September 24.
The band will perform music from their highly anticipated record which is set to go into production later this year with legendary British producer Terry Brown. The music of this outspoken group has become a soundtrack for the current uprising in Iran, as well as all nations whose people suffer under oppressive and corrupt regimes.

Since the start of the protests in Iran in early June, founding members of Blurred Vision - Iranian born brothers Sepehr and Soheil have been speaking out against the brutality and murderous methods of the Islamic Republic, including interviews on CNN and CBC. They also recorded a song entitled "Hafiz...Rise" calling upon the great Persian poet and mystic, Hafiz for guidance and dedicated this video to their brothers and sisters in Iran who were - and still are - fighting for their most basic human rights.

The band's website has been setup as a portal for their fellow peers and youth in Iran to stream live video from their cell phones as a method to keep the images and voice of the people alive.

Unfortunately the website has been blocked in Iran since the start of the uprising. The regime has taken horrific measures to keep media and information from leaking out of Iran.

With 70% of the population under the age of 35, the strength of a nation's will to live in freedom is driving Iran on a path to achieve these simple rights enjoyed by every citizen of the free world.

For Blurred Vision, as wisely stated on their website, this great goal for freedom not only in Iran but the entire world, is something they hope to achieve through the guidance of music and the unbridled potential of a unified humanity.

Please join us at Mel Lastman Square in Toronto on Friday Sep 18 from 8 to 10 PM.
