Saviours Announce New Album - Accelerated Living - Released October 26th

SAVIOURS have made the necessary adjustments to deliver the goods with revitalized rage and the smell of burnt blood in the air around them. The sludge of previous efforts is all but vanished, replaced with forged steel riffage, Austin Barber’s ragged vocals, and precise, metallic authority.

New lead guitarist Sonny Reinhardt (ex-Watch Them Die) pushes the band into furious, locked in riffing, making that Motorhead-meets-Exodus-meets-Born Again-era Sabbath crossover record, the one you always dreamt of, a threatening reality. Full, thick production courtesy of Phil Manley (The Fucking Champs) opens up Scott Batiste’s drums and Cyrus Comiskey’s bass to the volleys of war. Eight songs deep, and Accelerated Living never lets up, from the opening salvo “Acid Hand” through bloody ripper “F.G.T.” and eight-minute epic “Livin’ in the Void” – even the final cut “Eternal High,” a seething mid-tempo chokehold, busts out of the gates with unprecedented intensity.

The artwork was created by Tattoo Artist Tim Lehi - BlackHeart Tattoo San Francisco: Jeff Rassier, Tim Lehi, Scott Silva, Nick Rodin, Mike Lucena and the Saviours are releasing 3 ltd edition 7” EP’s that are out in early October and feature four new songs and two covers from demo sessions with Scott Ecklein in Oakland in April. All 3 feature Killer art by Tim Lehi and each one comes with cool extra shit

- SAVIOURS Acid Hand 7” EP (features the new tracks “Acid Hand” b/w “Slave to the Hex”) + Die-Cut Exclusive Sticker artwork by Tim Lehi. See the cover art here.

- SAVIOURS Burnin’ Cross 7” EP (features the new track “Burnin’ Cross b/w “Fire in the Sky” [SAXON cover]) + Saviours Stitch Badge. See the cover art here.

Formed in 2004, Saviours are the end product of a "vision-quest" by guitarist/vocalist Austin Barber and drummer Scott Batiste. An ipecac reaction to the sorry state of heavy music, they aimed to assemble an epically heavy, crushingly loud band that would reinvigorate their love for excessive volume. The band’s home base of Oakland, long since a hotbed for landmark metal and crust bands such as El Dopa, Neurosis, and High on Fire, provided the decay and terror necessary to fuel such an effort. Inspired by ’70s doom, NWOBHM, power metal and ‘90s black metal, as well as that which informed West Coast hardcore punk and skate culture (think Black Flag and groups like BL’AST! and Poison Idea),

Stateside sees the Saviours embark on Tour dates with 3 Inches of Blood, Red Fang, Kylesa and legendary doom metal band Saint Vitus on three exclusive east coast U.S. reunion shows. Sep/Oct with European dates anticipated before the year is out then relentlessly through 2010.
