The video for Master Shortie's new single Bringing It Back is now available for you here. The single, off his debut album A.D.H.D. which was released earlier this year, is out October 26th through his own label Odd One Out (O1O). On the same day he will be playing at London's Koko as part of the Uk's first Brrrap Pack Tour. Master Shortie says of the single
I am an 80’s baby, 90’s kid! ‘Bringing it back’ is me reminiscing about all the fun associated with the 1980s. The unique video, which features the car from Night Rider, was created by James Sutton who has since worked with the likes of Will.I.Am. Hear what he has to say about the experience and his inspiration:
On Master Shortie and the making of the video:
Theo has a lot of energy. I just worked around his character... I had all these shots planned out, but I built the scenes around the outfits. For example the BBC Test Card came from the outfit.
Making the video:
I feel as though I really stepped up my game on this project and I wanted to make sure I brought the retro feel of movies such as Back To The Future and Night Rider into the video.
I worked 14 hour days over four weeks. The intro alone took 4 days, all from still I took from London
Rubix Cube section:
This took two days. I used a photo image of a side of a rubix cube, I then animated it and added 3D effects.
Kaleidoscope section:
The inspiration for this came from being a child in the 80's - that was another two days too.
