Au Revoir Simone are back this October with a show at London’s Union Chapel on Oct 2nd. They release their stunning new single ‘Another Likely Story’ - complete with remixes from hotter than hot French duo Aeroplane, Neon Indian and Social Disco. On Nov 16th. This is the second single to be taken from their latest album ‘Still Night, Still Light’, and is due for release through Moshi Moshi Records (Florence & The Machine, Casiokids, Lykke Li).
‘Another Likely Story’ displays Au Revoir Simone’s beautiful, ethereal qualities. Lyrics softly tiptoeing out from the darkness, talking of new places and people changing over graceful synths and keys layering over the girls’ melodies.
Earlier this year, the Brooklyn trio released their third album ‘Still Night, Still Light’ on Moshi Moshi. It is a record with innate warmth, melodic darkness and fragile depth. Recorded between Brooklyn, NY and Los Angeles CA, it was produced by Thom Monahan (Vetiver, Little Joy).
The album examines the complications of distance and closeness; gone are the bells and whistles of second album The Bird of Music, in their place a stark closeness, like hearing a secret from someone you love for the first time. ‘Still Night, Still Light’ is a record that explores reflection, seeking, questioning and losing one’s way home.
Au Revoir Simone will also return to the UK for a one off show at the Union Chapel, they haven’t played here since their intimate packed out show at Bush Hall in May.
