Whichever way you look at it, one thing's for sure - this Melbourne trio's back and better than ever. Firmly shifting the focus to album number two with the release of their new single ‘This New Technology’, which will be released on October 6 through iTunes on Acephale Records (SALEM, Air France, Memory Tapes, CFCF)accompanied by remixes from CFCF, Babe Rainbow, and Emperor Machine, and featuring an exclusive ‘Fantastic Valleys’ B side.This New Technology will also be available on limited edition 7" vinyl in the USA. Pre-order your copies here.The first single from their forthcoming sophomore release is accompanied by a colourful, kaleidoscopic film clip directed by New Zealand design collective Special Problems (Cut Off Your Hands, The Mint Chicks), ‘This New Technology’ is an epic journey through time and the afterlife that refuses to travel along the straight and narrow. Instead the track moves through 70s pop to Morricone soundscapes, dark driving toms to lush washed out jams, lo-fi to hi-fo, progrock to krautrock, Eno to ecstasy, the Roses to Rafferty...it's pop but not as you know it. Produced by Midnight Juggernauts, ‘This New Technology’ was recorded at Melbourne’s Sing Sing Studios by Christopher Moore (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV on the Radio, Liars) and mixed by Andy Baldwin. The release of the single coincides perfectly with the bands fleeting US visit in October when they're set to play at NYC's CMJ Music Festival as well one in LA before heading back to Australia for a national headline tour by across Perth, Newcastle, Sydney, Wollongong, Melbourne, Frankston, Brisbane, Canberra, and Adelaide.
