Kill Rock Stars will be releasing a brand new Horse Feathers single on October 27th called Cascades. It will feature the fabulous title track plus a cover of the Gillian Welch song Orphan Girl. The 7" is available now as a pre-order in their mail order.

***OREGON BALLET THEATRE ARTISTS COLLABORATE WITH LOCAL INDIE BAND HORSE FEATHERS

Oregon Ballet Theatre artists to perform with local indie band Horse Feathers as part of a new collaborative project called Uprising.

Conceived by OBT Soloist Candace Bouchard, Uprising is an emerging creative movement to bring the beauty of ballet to new audiences in non-traditional venues. The first installment brings together Justin Ringle of local indie band Horse Feathers and OBT artists for a collaborative performance at Mississippi Studios (three shows, November 3, 4, and 5). Horse Feathers and OBT dancers will share the stage for the near hour-long performance. Bouchard is choreographing to Ringle’s music.

The OBT artists performing are: Leta Biasucci, Candace Bouchard, Ansa Deguchi, Steven Houser, Olga Krochik, and Lucas Threefoot. Musicians performing in Horse Feathers are: Sam Cooper (banjo, mandolin, percussion, violin, vocals), Nathan Crockett (violin, saw, vocals), Catherine O’Dell (cello, vocals), Justin Ringle (vocals, guitar).
