Following limited vinyl and cassette releases on the labels Hospital Productions, Whats Your Rupture?, and Dais Records as well as a comp of early material, Matador is ecstatic about reissuing the debut full-length Love Comes Close from Philly/New York quartet, Cold Cave!
Cold Cave is led by musical journeyman Wesley Eisold (who served time with hardcore punk legends American Nightmare/Give Up The Ghost and Some Girls), joined by an orbiting line-up that includes fellow allies, Caralee McElroy (formerly of Xiu Xiu), Dominick Fernow (contemporary noise icon Prurient), and Sarah Lipstate (formerly of Parts and Labor, Noveller).
Love Comes Close instantly sold out when it was released in August and will be re-issued by Matador on November 3rd. The warm, rich synth pop sounds are laced with equal parts of romance and nihilism. Cold Cave is possibly the only band ever to have been compared to both Erasure and Whitehouse.

Cold Cave recently played some very well received West Coast and NYC dates. They will be in the UK for a spell, before playing their next confirmed US tour date with Sonic Youth and Dinosaur Jr at Terminal 5 in NYC on November 21st. Stay tuned for CMJ info and upcoming November US Tour dates!
