30th NOVEMBER LONDON LIVE SHOW ANNOUNCED
Chicago native Kid Sister has let the polish on her French tips dry and is back with a brand new single ‘Right Hand Hi’ set for release on Asylum Records.
‘Right Hand Hi’ is the first single to be taken from her debut album ‘Ultraviolet’ one of the most anticipated albums of next year.
A 3 minute rave-pop blast that tears its way out of the stereo. ‘Right Hand Hi’ features the staccato beats and inventive production of Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso (AKA the Swedish House Mafia). A firecracker track, original, bold and full of hooks, ‘Right Hand Hi’ takes no prisoners. Fusing cutting edge dance music with Chicago hip-hop this is pop music at its best.
Kid Sister - aka Melisa Young - exploded last year with the genius ‘Pro Nails’ which features Kanye West (appearing out of love for his fellow Chicagoan Kid Sis), and an appearance on Count & Sinden’s ‘Beeper’. Since then she has been recording her album with the world’s finest electronic music makers.
‘Ultraviolet’ is an incredible record. Blending Hip-hop, ghetto house and electro pop, it’s a messed up melting pot of ideas and styles that makes it one of the most original pop albums in years. Its range makes it impossible to pigeonhole, but its ties to the past make it the future.
‘Ultraviolet’ is set to blow 2010 apart.
Kid Sister will be making her only UK live appearance on 14th November at KOKO at Annie Mac Presents at KOKO on 14th November along with Miike Snow and Young Fathers,.
