Currently on a tour of North America, Portland based Pyramiddd are gearing up to release their debut UK single and play their first ever European shows this November. Forthcoming single ‘Medicine’ will be released on November 30th through DDD and is taken from the band’s ‘Jupiter’ EP. A little psychedelic, a little punk disco, a lot of charm and very dancefloor friendly make this more than a noteworthy debut.
What began in Portland ( Oregon) as a solo project of Josh Hodges and his overflow of ideas, soon became one of the most vibrant young acts to come out of the Pacific Northwest’s musical scene in the last few years.
Josh began the project in 2007 with just a stripped-down drum kit, a loop pedal and a microphone and soon began collaborating with friends and fellow musicians Ryan Biornstad, Shawn Glassford and Keil Corcoran. Each of the band, with their many unique talents and impressive stage presence, helped to make Pyramiddd what it is today – a tight-knit four-piece who brilliantly mould electronics and incredible musicianship into other-worldly, very hooky pop tracks. As a result, the band has been selling out shows across North America on their past several tours there.
