Lisbon's Buraka Som Sistema were one of the breakout acts of 2009 with their debut album ‘Black Diamond’ (featuring hits "Sound of Kuduro" & "Kalemba").
Their now infamous live show - hailed by New York Times as the "best of Coachella Festival 2009" and received a glowing 5* live review from the Guardian, has been sending crowds mental around the world and literally sold out every single date in Europe & USA.
So, what do they do next? They write another great single.
‘Restless’ serves to remind us how inventive and inspiring they are. It's a fantastic single which producer J-Wow ichatted to Radio 1's Annie Mac direct from the studio. The next day she played it out and raved about it on dance music's most influential radio show.
A week later, we're putting it on CDs and sending it out. Oh, the new world of music.
To coincide with this, Buraka are playing select live dates including a main slot at the 17,000 capacity Halloween Party in Los Angeles and a headline New York date at Le Poisson Rouge (they sold out Bowery Ballroom on their first visit) before heading back to the UK for Annie Mac's sold out Warehouse Project show.
There's an iTunes exclusive in the USA, Mexico and Canada from Sunday 13th October. The full package including the original, remixes and previously unreleased versions of album tracks will be available internationally from November 30.
This will be followed by the release of their fabriclive album on December 7 (you have to hear this) and a one off London show – details of which will be confirmed shortly. Worldwide live dates: 22/10 Nordik Impact Festival, Caen
